My name is Lindsay Redd and I am the owner of the Pajama Affiliates online blogging school. More than ten years ago, I decided to learn everything I possibly could about how to make money online, focused on my passions. I soon realized blogging was the best way to do that (and still is today, but more on that later).
I met an amazing woman named Robin Cockrell, who went on to become the founder of Pajama Affiliates. When we first became acquainted, she had not started up our online school yet, but I wanted to be her student. I followed her online and I could see that she was absolutely slaying the making money blogging game and I wanted her to teach me her magical ways. At that time, her main niche was relationships. She was helping both men and women learn how to communicate better through numerous articles and her online community, Love Girl Talk, which she later sold (for a very nice sum) when she shifted her focus to teaching blogging.
Turns out I wasn’t the only one who wanted to learn from her. Before long, her online blogging school Pajama Affiliates was born.
Why did she name it Pajama Affiliates? Because she wanted to emphasize the comfort and security that comes with working for yourself in a way that lets your true personality shine through. Blogging is comfortable like wearing pajamas. And of course, you can work while wearing your pajamas when you’re the boss!
What a long, beautiful journey its been for both Robin and I since we first met.
I went on to create a blog about hula hooping that, to this day, still earns me a full-time income, though most of the best-performing blog posts were written many years ago! I did the work once and continue to reap the benefits of my blog.
Many years passed while I was working on my hoop blog. Robin taught thousands of people how to make money blogging. The community thrived under her care and we met many amazing people who were living the same way we were, writing about their passions and collecting their earnings.
In February 2022, Robin passed away somewhat unexpectedly. She was diagnosed a few months prior with cancer and went downhill fast. It was and is very painful to have lost her. She was my mentor, and one of my very best friends. It’s been hard not just for me, but for her beautiful daughter, her family and friends, and the entire Pajama Affiliates community.
Before she passed away, she asked me to take over Pajama Affiliates. She wanted me to keep being that guiding light to help people gain freedom and purpose in their lives. I had helped her teach many of the courses over the years, so this was an easy transition for me. And choosing to honor her wishes was even easier.
