If you have ever thought about doing Facebook ads to grow your business but didn’t really have a large budget, you may have just pushed the idea out of your mind. If you research Facebook ads online, most of those teaching this are spending thousands on facebook ads as in hundreds of thousands. Of course they get results. But what if you only have say $20.00 or $100 bucks or so a month? Will Facebook ads work for you to grow your business?
I have been doing facbeook ads for several months now and when I first started, it was trial and error, no doubt. I mostly lost money at first. Fast forward to this week. I spent $15.00 and got 271 new leads. Now you may be thinking but you didn’t make any money. No, not this last ad set I didn’t. The leads I gained though are money in the bank for me in the future.
When you use facebook ads effectively, you are slowly but surely building a super targeted audience to market to in the future and that is when the conversions and sales start happening. If you are looking for instant gratification, facebook ads most likely is not going to work for you unless you have hundreds or thousands to spend. It is a process.
Even the big players will tell you that the conversions to this targeted audiences that you can build with facebook ads are much greater than an ad that you initially run to cold traffic. Facebook has great targeting and re-targeting tools to use! If you don’t know how to use these tools, you are most likely shooting blind.
Perhaps you have tried just boosting a post and didn’t see many results other than a few page likes. There is by the way, many ways to boost a post and they are not all created equal. I have a video here on >>> boosting Facebook posts the right way!
The example I give in the video in the link above by the way is me boosting a post on an affiliate offer. You can do everything with Facebook ads that you do for your own products for affiliate products or offers. Facebook ads can be used for affiliate marketers.
I think a lot of people think that you just run and ad and hope to get sales. Of course that is the goal, to make money, but it’s more of a long term thing and like I said, instant gratification doesn’t always happen when running facebook ads.
Just to give you an idea. I run my first ad to cold traffic. I insert an audience pixel on my website and a retargeting pixel. Those that click on my add will be added by Facebook to an audience, which is like a list you can market to later. I may run a few of these low cost ads with different images and text to see which gets the most clicks.
My audience grows and then when I find the best converting ad that ran to my cold traffic, I can resend it to the Audience. Note building this audience on a budget does take time and won’t happen in a few days. I have been building my audience now for a couple of months and it is now getting big enough to re-target.
Since people need to see your products or services more than once before they buy, the re-targeted ads are far more effective than those you ran to cold traffic.
This is just a small part of advertising with Facebook ads if you are on smaller budget or a small buiness owner. There is way more to it than I could put in a blog post.
