If Clickbank is a Scam Why do I Keep Getting Paid

April 29, 2015 By: Robin Cockrell3 Comments

Clickbank has been around for a long time and somehow it’s gotten a bad name or at least some affiliate marketers out there seem to think so. Is Clickbank a scam? Well I will start by telling you that I have received a paycheck from Clickbank every other Wednesday for the past five years without fail. If you think Clickbank is a scam, you may want to rethink this.

Now I won’t say that there aren’t some sketchy products offered. There is, most of them being in the work at home or make money online niche. Most savvy marketers however, know how to tell the difference in a good solid product or crap.

If clickbank is a scam, would they offer a 60 day money back guarantee on all products listed on Clickbank? As a vendor in their marketplace, if you don’t offer this, you can’t have your products featured there. If Clickbank is a scam, I don’t think you would be able to get your money back so easily and it is easy.

Back when I was in the dating a relationship niche, I sold many of their products to many a woman. I was accused by many of taking advantage of desperate women. I had more than my share of haters. Here is the thing though. These people weren’t reading the hundreds of emails from the women thanking me for introducing them to these products.

I even bought one myself on how to get your ex back. Next to the make money online products, this niche has to be second in line as far as being viewed as a scam. I didn’t get my ex back, but that book completely shifted how I related to men. It was well written by a well known psychologist and I would give it 5 stars.

The theme on this website that you are on right now came from Clickbank. I love it. I have it on two other websites that I own. It’s called Socrates and I bought it at Clickbank!

Back in the day, there was this place called Squidoo. Squidoo is now gone, but it was a free place to create these one page websites and put your affiliate links in them. Rumor had it that Clickbank was banned from Squidoo, but I am here to tell you I had Clickbank links on all of my pages there. Don’t believe everything you hear. Squidoo had some products banned from their site, but it certainly wasn’t the Clickbank marketplace as a whole.

So a few people that had been banned for promoting some of the scammy products that are on Clickbank and had their pages shut down started the rumors in the communities around Squidoo. This is part of why Clickbank has a bad name. A few people have a bad experience because of poor product selection and they spread that like wild fire. Human nature and the negative Nellies in our world have a lot to do with this. Just watch the news.

So is Clickbank a scam? No. Do they have some questionable product there? Yes! It’s up to you to weed those out. The bottom line is Clickbank also has some fantastic products. The commission is much higher than about any other affiliate network out there. Clickbank has paid out well over 7 billion dollars to it’s affiliate and pays you like clockwork. I have made tens of thousands of dollars there.

I have an entire module in my affiliate marketing online course at Pajama Affiliates that helps you with product selection! I would not do this if I felt Clickbank is a scam.

If you aren’t using Clickbank in your affiliate marketing adventures, you could very well be leaving a lot of money on the table.

I’ve bought all sorts of Clickbank products over the years, some of which were fantastic and others were so so. But I never actually felt ripped off. I just try to represent the good stuff on my sites.

It’s something I want to try out but I don’t have a blog to cater for Clickbank type products…yet. A lot of people scream scam just because they don’t make any money with an affiliate program but a lot of others do.
