How Do You Get On the First Page of Google FOR FREE! Apply these 2 Techniques THAT WORK!

June 11, 2015 By: Robin Cockrellcomment

How Do You Get on the First Page of Google FREE?

I come across so many blogs in my line of work.  I get asked often, how do you get on the first page of Google for free?

Many still think you have to pay to advertise to get on that first page. They start asking about Adwords and all sorts of costly things.  I am here to tell you, you don’t need to pay for advertising at all!  You need to learn SEO and keyword research!

Don’t Lose Your Money on AdWords Campaigns!

how do you get found on the first page of google freeYou can get on the first page of Google without paying a dime to anyone for advertising.  AdWords has its place, but not for the average blogger and affiliate marketer.  Many do rely on paid ads to get on the first page of Google but unless you are a pro and have had some training with paid ads – I don’t suggest it.  It’s a quick way to lose a lot of money!

Why pay Adwords when you can learn to get on the first page of Google for free? With some keyword research and SEO tutorials, you can easily rank on the first page of Google – given you have some good original content to write.  Content will always be king, but keyword research and search engine optimization are a must for getting a targeted audience to read your blog.  You can have the greatest content in the world but without the right SEO – you won’t be found easily.  That’s a shame right?

How do You Get on the First Page of Google for Free?

  • Keywords! Keywords! Keywords!

Find keywords, which are words people use to search in Google.  Not all keywords are equal of course.  When searching for keywords don’t think that you need this massive amount of search volume – because you don’t.  What to look for is low competition and relevancy to your topic with some decent traffic.  What do I mean by “decent”.. If you find a keyword that is spot on to the topic you want to write about and it has low compensation and about 50-100 searches a month – I use that sucker.  Naturally, I want low competition and high traffic all the time but in a perfect world, you have to take relevancy and low competition OVER huge traffic numbers with high competition.

I can rank for those lower competition keywords a lot easier than I can the higher ones.  You follow?  If I can rank like this over and over (rinse and repeat) my blog or website begins to gain more authority over time.   Giving readers high-quality RELEVANT content for these lower competition keywords will turn into more traffic for your little blog.

If you want to rank on the first page of Google for free – you need to hit those lower competition keywords that are relevant to your topic!

  • Optimizing Your Blog Posts for Search Engines

Now that you have your keywords, you need to be optimizing your blog posts with keywords for search engines.

That means knowing where to put these keywords and exactly how to use them!

How you write a blog post using your keywords really matters.  You don’t want to overuse or stuff your keywords but at the same time – you want to be sure to use them in highly effective areas so that search engines pick up on them.

Your keywords need to be in key places in your blog.  Your title, the content, the URL, and your image file names for example  – need to have your keywords. You can optimize your pages for more than one keyword as long as they are VERY relevant to one another.

I’ve been an affiliate marketer full-time since 2009 and the internet has changed quite a bit, but two things remain – content is king and keywords matter.  Giving genuine valuable content to your readers will always be first but the keyword research and SEO will be how they find you!
