To you internet affiliate marketers or any online marketer for that matter, this is a topic very dear to me. I was once afraid myself and broke I might add. I still at times find myself afraid of things, some quite silly. Most of our fears are so unrealistic. Fear is in our mind and is a result of the thoughts that we choose to think. Recently I allowed a technical aspect to grow so big in my mind that I literally had myself convinced I could not do it. Turns out when I put that fear to rest, it was quite simple and nothing like what I had built up in my mind.
So how do I know you are afraid? I do know by the way. For starters, when I make a sale to one of your friends on Facebook and you mail me and ask do you get credit for the sale. Did you post the link? The answer is usually no. You were scared to post. You were scared what others might think. You were scared you would be viewed as a spam pusher. Yet you bought the program, so why wouldn’t someone else? So you leave money laying on the table out of fear of what others may think. Are you living for you or are you living for them? Who pays your bills?
I was scared to write this article if I am honest. Scared that some would take it personally and scared they would assume I was talking about them, when really I am not talking about anyone in particular. Human nature is funny that way. We are in our heads, so we can feel that others are in our heads, when actually they are too busy in their own heads to be in yours. Something good to remember next time you hesitate before self promoting.
I have a facebook friend that has been posting practically nothing for the 2 years I have know her but her product and company. Good God this woman is passionate about her opportunity. Oh some may see her as nerve wracking, but I have watched her success level soar over the years. Now she post pics of all these fantastic places she gets to go with her MLM company and she is not only surviving in her business by thriving. She has no fear.
The products that internet affiliate marketers promote add value, at least all the ones that I have seen Pajama Affiliates promote seem to. So why wouldn’t you share? What are you scared of? Success? No one ever made it as an internet affiliate marketer hiding in the shadows. I know many successful online marketers and they all have one thing in common. They have a voice and they use it!
Another thing that I would like to bring up about this topic is your privacy. Sure I know it’s important and perhaps you have friends that you wouldn’t want to see certain things or maybe family. I do understand this. On the other hand, if you are going to get really serious and pursue internet affiliate marketing as a full time opportunity, you will eventually need to branch out in social networks. There is simply too much money left of the table if you don’t. I guess it is a matter of your priorities on your own totem pole, but something to think about for sure.
If you aren’t sharing your products or your opportunity, why not? As an internet affiliate marketer I can honestly say that 50% of my income comes from sharing on social networking sites and the other 50% comes from organic traffic. I post a link to Pajama Affiliates almost daily on facebook, twitter and a few other sites and the sales come. Many of them I don’t even really know. Why do you want to leave money on the table and what are you scared of?
