Good SEO in Your Blog Post
This area will cover where you should place your keywords once you have picked them. Keyword placement is important, you want to make sure your keywords are in areas that search engines will pick up.
Good SEO is vital to getting FREE traffic from search engines. You need to be using low competition keywords like we showed in our video and you need to be placing those keywords in areas that search engines are going to notice them.
Keyword Placement
Pick 1 main keyword and use about 5-10 others that are tightly relevant to sprinkle throughout the blog post.
The main keyword usually goes:
- Blog title
- Page title
- URL
- Image file name
- First sentence of the first paragraph
- In the text a “couple of times” naturally
I use the rest of my keywords in various places throughout the blog post:
- Subtitles – these break up the page nicely for readers (H2 &H3 paragraph headers)
- Text in the body of blog – naturally, do not keyword stuff!
- “Alt” tags of the images
- Image file names
- Tags
The best thing to do is look at your keywords and decide how you can naturally use them in your text and titles!
