Be Aware of Your Keywords When Writing!
These are the basics of where to put your keywords. You need to put your keywords in places that search engines are going to pick them up. Pick 1 main keyword and use about 5+ others that are tightly relevant to sprinkle throughout the blog post.

This class does not cover keyword research. This is a class that teaches you how to write a blog post that converts sales. Our Keyword courses go more into depth about keywords.
Keyword Placement Notes from Video
Here are the notes mentioned in the video above. You can learn more about how to find good keywords in our keyword bonus courses.
My main keyword goes :
- Blog page title
- First subtitle on the page
- URL —> (don’t change if you’re updating)
- In an image file name found on the page
- First sentence of the first paragraph
- In the text a “couple of times” naturally
- In Yoast
I use tightly related keywords in various places throughout the blog post:
- Subtitles – these break up the page nicely for readers
- Text in the body of blog – naturally, do not keyword stuff!
- “Alt” tags of the images
- Image file names (when you upload images to your post)

The Key Ingredients to a Blog Post that Converts Sales

You may or may not use all the ingredients and you may use more of one than another, consider this a recipe, not a protocol to live by. You’re going to need to experiment with what works best for you.
A Good Title that Delivers
Your content needs to deliver exactly what your title says it’s going too.

This is a video recorded earlier in the year by Robin and it’s got some great information on delivering on your title and relevancy that really goes along with what we’re trying to drive home in this course.
We have a very detailed mini course that goes even deeper into targeting your market and buyer keywords HERE!

Original Content

Good original content can be text, your own images, your own videos.
Short Paragraphs
We are living in an age of instant gratification and shorter attention spans.
Shorter paragraphs are easier on the eye and will help hold your readers attention longer.
You can still say a lot while breaking it up into smaller size chunks.
Subtitles are a great way to break up your paragraphs and should be used for good SEO.
Bolding for Skim Readers
When it comes to bolding, I only bold the first keyword in the first paragraph and after that no more bolding of keywords.
I bold ONLY what I think is valuable to reader. I know that a lot of people are skim readers, so I bold the important information. I bold the important features of the topic throughout the blog post.
Do not bold all your keywords, it’s distracting to the reader and the reader is who we want to buy.
Strong Call-to-Action

Easy Product Displays is the tool that I use to create those pretty product displays with the buttons that you see in the video.
Highlighting Things of Importance
[s3mv]CR-AF-PIMP-Highlighting.m4v,600,338,false,false[/s3mv]
A highlight in a blog post is an area you’re drawing a readers attention too. It will look differently for each person, the important thing is to draw out important points so they are clearly and easily seen.
- Highlighting can be bullet points in a post
- Highlighting can be a shaded text box (see below)
- Highlighting can be bolding and changing the color of a portion of text
- Highlighting can be an image with important points
Highlighting Box
Websites mentioned in this next video:HTML Code for Shaded Box / HTML Color Codes
I can’t take the credit for this shaded box tip, Pot Pie Girl told me about it in her eBook “What Works Now“. Pssst.. that eBook increased my earnings by $2k a month in 5 months!
Putting Self-Serving Links in Places Readers will Want MORE Information
I use Easy Product Displays to make those product displays with buy buttons you see in the video.
[s3mv]CR-AF-PIMP-self-serve-links.m4v,600,338,false,false[/s3mv]
- Self-serving links should be clear that they are click-able
- Self-serving links should be placed in an area where a reader is going to want more information.
