Do you spend a lot of time thinking or rather overthinking?
Do you struggle with decisions and second guessing?
Are you aware that no matter how much you think about something, it’s not going to give you any new insight or light bulb moments.
Seriously have you ever been laying in bed at night not be able to quiet the mind and all of a sudden you just knew the answer?
Most Likely not. Most likely you just lost a bunch of sleep and felt like crap in the morning.
You can’t solve a problem by thinking about it.
When you start thinking about what is weighing you down, new information is not available to you.
The only information you have is the same old thoughts that run through your head. Nothing new under the sun in that overthinking brain.
Solutions come to the quiet mind, effortlessly I might add, not the one full of thoughts playing over and over like Groundhog Day.
Overthinking is wasted energy because you aren’t going to know what is going to happen until it actually happens, until you experience it first hand.
Overthinking can be Deadly!
Overthinkers are stressed. Stress makes you sick. It’s linked to depression, eating disorders, self harm and all sorts of physical ailments.
Thinking is what causes the stress.
You can blame external circumstances all you want for your stress, but you are leaning on a false belief.
The stress comes because you can’t stop thinking about it.
If you could stop constantly thinking those thoughts, you would not be stressed.
The way you handle external circumstances and your ability to manage your own emotions is the way to control the stress in your life.
What most people do however, it try to control external circumstances instead.
That’s like trying to catch the wind. You can’t.
The one thing you do have control over is you and how you react.
Are You Over Thinking?

Help Taming Your Overthinking Mind
1. Accept That You Have a Problem
The first thing you may want to do to overcome your overthinking is accept that you have a problem. Yes, overthinking is a problem. Not being able to get out of your own head is a problem.
- It can stop you from being happy right now.
- It hinders your ability to make decisions
- It stops you from getting things done
- It stops you from taking action
- Causes anxiety about the future
- Blocks you from being able to live in the present moment
2. Meditation
Just watch the video. Don’t dismiss this idea please.

3. Surrender and Detach From Outcomes
No amount of overthinking is going to help solve a problem or change how anything unfolds. It’s just a means to torture yourself. Surrender to God, the Universe, a higher power, just surrender and accept you don’t have the control. Overthinking is like swimming against the current. It’s hard. Life is much easier when you just float along downstream, going with the flow.
Trust that you are where you are supposed to be. There have been many times I would overthink things or try to find a way to get something in particular. In hindsight, had I gotten most of those things, I probably would not be talking to you now.
4. Your Thoughts Create Your Reality
This is no longer woo woo stuff. Science is now backing this result. The Law of Attraction is a universal law! Like attracts like. If your brain is thinking negative things and worrying, guess what you attract. More negative things to worry about. The more you focus on problems, the more problems pop up.
You’re manifesting your thoughts, so it’s time to take this seriously and start renewing your mind. You start thinking these thoughts and worse SPEAKING THEM and before you know it, BAM! You’ve manifested it all by yourself, the things you didn’t want to happen, you harnessed because you kept it at the forefront of your brain by overthinking about it.
Stop It!
You have all the tools to create a peaceful life living and thriving in the present moment. You also have all the tools to create a life of stress, worry and negativity. You get to choose!
