Since adding a bonus to my affiliate marketing course on Amazon FBA, or fulfilled by Amazon, I have been asked daily what does fulfilled by Amazon mean? It’s pretty simple really and way cool. Becoming an Amazon FBA seller is a fantastic way to make a lot of money without the hassles of dealing with any customer service.
- First you ship your products (new or used) to one of many of Amazon’s fulfillment centers.
- Amazon then stores them in their inventory as ready to ship
- When someone orders your product, Amazon ships it out for you and manages all customer service for you!
Have you ever sold on eBay? First you have to wait for the auction to end, then if it sells you ship it. If there is something wrong or the item is returned, you have all the headache of dealing with it. You also have to spend a lot of time creating the listing and adding all that detail, taking pictures and so forth and so on. It can be a lot of work.
So what does fulfilled by Amazon mean in relation to eBay? Basically you just list the item on Amazon which is a simple process. The item is usually already in their inventory so all that listing stuff and pictures are already there. You just type in the barcode of the item you are listing and ta da, the item pops up! You put up your price and that is it. When the item is ordered, Amazon fills the order for you and ships it out. You just list it, ship it and collect the money!
The really cool thing about this fulfilled by Amazon also know as Amazon FBA is that there are some really great tools out there to help you know what items are moving and what your profit is before you ever ship your item. If you have a smart phone, there are phone apps that scan an item and all the information you need is right there. You can tell what your profit is going to be, how likely it is to move quickly and so much more.
There are some fees with Amazon of course, but the first month is free. If you do this right, you will be making a profit long before any fees are deducted. Take for example I am at Big Lots and see a particular item for $6.95. I scan it and see it is selling on Amazon for $39.00. I could buy the item, bring it home, enter it into Amazon and ship it off and literally collect that profit in just days, sometimes hours.
This is a great way to earn a part time or even full time income. I have a fellow marketer that makes thousands a month on this. He has been at it for over a year and has learned the trials and errors and what does and does not work in the fulfilled by Amazon program. He has put together a step by step very detailed guide and I have added it to my Pajama Affiliate marketing course as a bonus. It’s Amazon Sales Ninja! You can join Pajama Affiliates here.
