Looking for Free Affiliate Marketing Courses? Honest Ones?
I’ve been working in affiliate marketing since 2007, I know what its like to be a beginner looking for some free affiliate marketing courses and resources to help get you started. You need to make your dollar stretch and spending thousands on different software, programs and tools is just not option, right? I’ve been there. No one wants to feel like a newbie but the truth of the matter is we all have to start somewhere and its okay to not have thousands to spend up front. Just don’t cheap-out on the small items you do need (and we’ll discuss that more later).
There are some really good free affiliate marketing courses and resources available to bloggers and internet marketers that can save you some time and money when you are first starting out. There are things you cannot and should not get for free but there are a lot of great free affiliate marketing courses and resources out there to help keep your overhead down in the beginning.
Once you start making more money, you can begin paying for convenience services and products to speed up productivity but when you are first starting out, the more free resources – the better!
FREE Affiliate Marketing Support Group
You definitely need is a good support group or forum where you can ask questions. Unfortunately there are not a ton of them out there that are positive and encouraging.
When I was first starting out in affiliate marketing, I found that a lot of the forums and groups were full of egotistical people who wanted to push you around or make you feel stupid. Knowing this, I took it upon myself to start my own group where the only rules there are respect and common sense. No one is going to push you around or make you feel bad in the Pajama Affiliates Mastermind Group. You can openly ask questions and request feedback for free at anytime and be greeted and helped by an encouraging crowd.
There are so many helpful and experienced affiliate marketers and bloggers in the Pajama Affiliates Mastermind Group that you won’t feel lost or alone on this journey.
FREE Affiliate Marketing Training
We offer a sample of our affiliate marketing training programs for free at Pajama Affiliates. We’ll give you a sample of some of our videos and ask questions in our free support group to fill in the gaps. Really though, buying an affiliate marketing training course would be your best bet but if you just want to take a look at some thing, try the sample course we offer, it will at least give you some ideas.
You can also find free affiliate marketing courses and blogging training on Udemy, most of it is PAID, but you can find some free stuff. I personally haven’t tried any of these affiliate marketing training myself, but some of them have great reviews.
FREE Image Editors for Affiliate Marketing
There are a lot of free image editors for affiliate marketing and bloggers to use that don’t cost a cent. Many of have chosen to upgrade to fancier features later on but if you’re getting started, PicMonkey and Canva.com are two excellent photo editors to try out. Both are free and you have the option to pay for membership if you want (but it’s not something you have to do).
What are the affiliate marketing resources you have to pay for?
Okay, let’s get into the stuff you actually SHOULD pay for…
Definitely HOSTING and a DOMAIN! You do not want to put your content on a site that is free (i.e. Blogger, Weebly, HubPages, etc). You will absolutely need to build your own affiliate marketing website on a domain that you own with hosting that you pay for. It’s tempting to start out on those free blogging sites but it can have a tragic ending.
If you don’t know how to build a website like the one I’m talking about, consider an inexpensive WordPress course.
Pay for Some Beginners Training!
If you’re totally new to this, consider a beginners training course to get you started. Pajama Affiliates has a reputable beginners blogging and affiliate marketing course that includes everything you need to get started (even shows you how to set up your own self-hosted website on a domain you own). There’s even a support group to help you out along the way, it’s one of the best you can get for a phenomenal price.
Get a Good Keyword Tool
While yes, there are free options available, having a keyword tool will cut down on the guesswork and legwork involved. I happen to prefer using Jaaxy to dig out my keywords but there are other options available as well. A keyword tool is usually the most expensive tool but its well worth the investment because it’s digging gold out of the hills for you.
I like Jaaxy because it kicks back lots of keywords very quickly and it has a site rank tracker that make my job easier (and slightly more exciting). Your brain will explode from all the keyword ideas this tool gives out!
Avoid Shiny Objects!
A lot of affiliate marketers lose their way following shiny objects. Anything that sounds too good to be true, just might be. Making a lot of money in affiliate marketing is indeed possible, but like any business, you need to learn how it works and that takes some time. There is no instant gratification in this, you will need to know what you’re doing, nothing is push-start-and-go. Nothing.
If you’ll pay for the basics, you can get more time-saving, income boosting goodies later, but don’t skimp out on the necessities! Get a domain, pay for some hosting and invest in some training and a keyword tool. The start up costs are so cheap in affiliate marketing if you do it right.
